Problem:
Raise VG's visibility in the retail environment

The project comprised of a number of services which included co-sourcing, sales focus, knowledge sharing, project management, implementation and recruiting. Its objective was to increase efficiency in these outlets and of course improve sales.

We have also set up a Retail Academy for VG which shares the same goals. VG invite the shop owners and management of the newsagent chains to take part in a number of learning activities. Sales tools and knowledge are the primary focus but it has also been necessary to concentrate on the details too. For example, simple routines like, re-stocking the shelves, bundles and selling up. Another important bi-product is profile building; close contact with your sales teams builds respect and camaraderie. Another thing that came out of the project was that when management went home for the weekend, standards in the outlets dropped, resulting in poor performances at the busiest time of the week.
